YoPT Self-experience and holiday retreat
Retreat in beautiful Tuscany
In addition to the YoPT® training, there is a self-awareness module each year, which is entirely focused on the needs of the therapist. Here we use the tools of YoPT for ourselves and build our own “YoPT sadhana” (yoga practice), which we can take with us as a resource at the end of the retreat. As psychotherapists, we also need to keep strengthening, realigning, inspiring and revitalising ourselves. We need tools to relieve stress, to be present and alive and to connect with our own potential. The path to the soul, to the “higher self” and to transpersonal consciousness leads us far beyond any psychotherapy – onto the path of Raja Yoga and yogic spirituality.
We use the tools from PART THREE for ourselves (meditation, creativity, self-expression and the opening of the “big heart”) to come fully into our own flow and connect the “outer journey” with the inner “soul journey”. For this we use excursions into nature, hiking, trips to the Tuscan towns as well as time for rest, retreat, writing, conversations and silent meditation.
Programme (subject to changes):
7 – 11 am: Morning practice with Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Tools for ourselves from PART THREE of the YoPT. Integration of texts from the Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavadgitta and the Upanishads. Building up our own “sadhana”.
11 am – 1 pm: Brunch and break.
1 – 5:30 pm: Excursion into nature, hiking together, visit to a Fattoria, trip to Lucca, Pisa, Massa or La Spezia. (In addition, three afternoons are free for your own programme).
6 pm: Dinner
7:30 – 9:30 pm: Evening round for integration. Restorative yoga, yoga nidra, yoga dance. Meditation to close the day.
